Dermal fillers have got something for everyone
A filler is a gel-like substance that is injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume or enhance the shapeliness of certain facial features. As we age, we naturally lose hydration and fat in our faces. We start to see wrinkles, and the contours of our cheeks, lips, and jawline become less distinct. Every face ages differently, but the result can make you look not only older but fatigued. Even a bit cranky.
While some fillers are made of synthetic ingredients, most are based on hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that works to capture and retain moisture within your body. Fillers replenish hyaluronic acid production that decreases with age, re-plumping the treatment area to reveal smoother skin and revitalized contours. Some fillers are also used to enhance natural features such as the lips.
Dermal filler injections have no effect on facial muscles, so your face will be as expressive as always.
What can dermal fillers do for you?
Specialized fillers can help you achieve smoother skin and shapelier contours throughout the mid-lower face:
- Between the eyebrows (glabellar lines)
- Nasolabial folds (from the outer nostrils to the corners of the mouth)
- Fuller, more defined lips
- Mouth area
- Chin and jawline
Whether you want to reveal little change or a lot, there is a dermal filler just for you. And treatments are entirely customizable to fit your goals. Dermal fillers also combine nicely with Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin injections and with the skin rejuvenation procedures we offer at Reveal Aesthetic.
Am I a good candidate?
Almost anyone is a good candidate for dermal fillers if you are an adult with any of the concerns noted above, you’re in good health generally, and you have realistic expectations about results. That said, most fillers have not been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, so if that’s you, we recommend waiting to start your treatment plan.
Short treatments, long-lasting results
Filler treatments take a half hour or less, depending on the area(s) being treated and the amount of filler we’re using. Typically, these injections are not painful, but in some cases, we may use a topical anesthetic to ensure patient comfort.
Most fillers produce immediately visible results. There may be some slight redness, itching, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, but these will go away within a few days. Lips are especially sensitive, so they may appear swollen or uneven for a few days.
Results are long-lasting. Exactly how long depends on the specific product, your skin, age, and the location, as well as your desired results. And one more thing – the skill and experience of your provider. Our patients at Reveal Aesthetic especially appreciate the medical or other advanced training our staff brings to their treatment.
No results are permanent, however, because eventually, your body will absorb the gel. You can easily maintain your smoother look with refresher treatments. And as your face continues to age, we can adjust the amount or type of filler accordingly.
Dermal fillers at Reveal AestheticAs a medical aesthetic practice, we are committed to giving our patients plenty of choices for personalized treatment, but we are equally committed to quality. So we offer an extensive array of fillers, all carefully chosen and clinically proven to be both safe and effective.
Juvéderm is the first name in cosmetic fillers, and their family of specialized products continues to grow. These products are a good choice even for men and women with darker skin tone. Most Juvéderm fillers include lidocaine to minimize injection discomfort. We offer:
Juvéderm Ultra XC
This filler is useful to treat facial wrinkles and folds, with results that last about a year.
Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC
A thicker formula with less elasticity, Ultra Plus treats deep folds, wrinkles, and facial scars. Results last up to a year.
Volbella is a softer formula designed for the lips. It plumps, smooths the lip surface, and improves lip line definition. Results vary from one patient to another but typically last about a year.
Juvéderm Vollure XC
Got laugh lines? You can keep smiling with fewer wrinkles with Vollure. This mid-face formula also treats marionette lines, nasolabial folds and general volume loss. A good skin care regimen helps Vollure injections last up to 18 months or even longer.
Loss of volume in the cheeks can make you look older, gaunt or just plain tired. Voluma restores natural plumpness to your cheeks and can also improve the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth. There is no downtime, and results can last up to two years.
The newest member of the Juvéderm family, Volux is slightly thicker than Voluma. It is designed to restore definition to the chin and jawline and to reduce double chin.
Sculptra is different in that it is based on poly-L-lactic acid and aims to replace lost collagen in the treatment area. It is a thicker formula designed for deeper folds and scars as well as wrinkles. For some patients, Sculptra may also be an effective option to re-plump cheeks.
Restylane is another well-known family of fillers. These products are made from Non-Animal, Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid so there is no chance of allergic reaction. We offer:
This product targets cheeks, subtly restoring volume for more rounded contours while remaining flexible to move naturally with your every expression. Results are long-lasting.
Replace sagging, sunken cheeks with lifted, more youthful contours and see smoother skin with this filler.
This filler smooths away lines and wrinkles around your mouth, with natural-looking results that don’t interfere with your natural expressiveness.
Refyne is designed to treat mild to moderate lines and wrinkles, including smile lines.
Similar to Refyne, this gel is formulated to re-plump moderate to severe nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
You can tell from the name that Kysse is formulated to plump lips and improve lip line definition. The look is natural, and your lips remain soft and, well, kissable. Kysse also improves lip color. Results last up to a year.
Radiesse is made from CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite), a naturally occurring mineral. The filler also contains lidocaine to minimize discomfort. Radiesse treats moderate to severe wrinkles, such as smile lines, with immediately visible results that typically last a year or more.
